The Law Offices of Parrish, Cross, & Genisio, LLC, (or PCG, for short) is a long-standing full service law firm located in Joplin, MO. Robert “Bob” R. Parrish, Jr.
The founder of our law firm, Bob was born on February 28, 1952, in North Carolina. His Father, Robert R. Parrish, Sr., was in the military when Bob was born. The family settled in Joplin, Missouri where Bob graduated from high school. His parents, Bob and Peggy, owned Bob’s Furniture in Joplin, Missouri, for many years. He graduated at the top of his class at The University of Missouri School of Law in 1977. He moved back to Joplin and began his practice with an emphasis in criminal defense. This leadership is what created the powerhouse of Parrish, Cross, Genisio & Hawkins, LLC.
Bob’s philosophy in practicing law was to provide the highest level of professional services at reasonable prices. It didn’t matter if you were a millionaire or a working man; Bob treated you with the same respect and courtesies. Bob passed away on June 17, 2014, after practicing law for 37 years. He loved spending time at his condo in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Mitchell B. Cross.
Mitchell B. Cross is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. Mitch received his undergraduate degree from Truman State University then attended law school at the University of Missouri – Kansas City’s School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1996. After admission to the Missouri Bar, Mitch worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney in the Kansas City area before coming to southwest Missouri to start his private practice at PCG. Since then, Mitch has developed a following of traffic and criminal clients, particularly in the City of Joplin’s municipal court, among other area courts. Mitch is also the firm’s primary probate attorney, including the formation of guardianship/conservatorships. He also serves as an appointed guardian ad litem for mentally incapacitated patients when called by the court to do so. Past these notable areas, Mitch conducts a general practice including bankruptcy and debtor assistance, DWI/DUI and other criminal defense, worker’s compensation, and collections.
Charles S. Genisio.
Charles Genisio began practicing law in 1993 in Joplin, Missouri and joined with Robert Parrish and Mitchell Cross in 2003. A few years later the firm became Parrish, Cross, Genisio & Hawkins, LLC. His practice concentrates in the areas of Business, Real Estate, Criminal, Personal Injury and Family Law.
Charles has strong family ties to southwest Missouri, as he grew up in Neosho, Missouri, where his family owned a pharmacy. After graduating from Neosho, he attended Washington University in St. Louis and then Tulsa University for law school. Charles has continued to be active in the community outside of his law practice through several civic organizations and not-for-profit boards.
When taking on a case it is his goal to provide good legal advice at a fair price. He also hopes to turn what may be a bad situation for a client to the best possible outcome.
